Is the most northerly Island in the canary island chain. the island is a volcanic island with over 360 craters and 1 still active volcano. Lanzarote is the preferred winter destination for tourists but still remains one of the last island where you can still enjoy that solitude and wilderness as well as the hustle and bustle of a main island resort. Here on the island you can enjoy countless sandy beaches all over the island some more hidden than others?

Timanfaya National Park (The fire mountains)
This place is really worth a visit. Here you can witness the destruction of the range of volcanoes which took place in the early 1700, You get to see a really unique landscape and rare plants that inhabit this region of the island.
Watch your guide throw water deep into the volcanic crust creating a geyser of hot steam, or sit in the volcano top restaurant and enjoy some food cooked on the thermal heat of the volcano.

Cueve de Los Verdes ( The green caves)
This part of the volcanic tube formed over 3000 years ago is where the local people hid from pirates and marauders to escape the slave trade. The last family to live in this section where called the greens so hence the name the greens cave. The volcanic tube is over 6 km long eventually connecting to Jameos del Agua but from this point you will explore only 2 km including a visit to the underground concert hall and the secret of Lanzarote. A visit to this attraction is a must.

Los Jameos del Aqua
Los Jameos del Agua, like La Cueva de los Verdes, are located inside the volcanic tunnel created by the eruption of La Corona Volcano. Los Jameos del Agua are located in the section of the tunnel that is closest to the shore.
They owe their name to the existence of an internal lake which constitutes a unique geological formation. It originates from filtration through the rock which lays below sea-level.
